Covid-19 Update regarding the Summer School – Update as of 1st June 2020.
With enormous regret, the Summer School Committee has decided that we cannot run Summer School this year.
There are insurmountable practical difficulties the most important of which is the responsibility of keeping all of us (Students, Committee members, tutors and GXCA staff) safe whilst following official guidelines (as they currently stand) with regards to social distancing.
You should know how disappointed we are. Summer School is such an important social event, as well as raising significant funds for GXCA. The committee enjoy it too, and are really saddened by this turn of events. It was difficult, but we feel it is the right decision to make at this point in time despite the 10 months’ worth of work already done.
We are hoping that Summer School next year will face different and favourable circumstances, so we are intending to set the dates from July 26th-August 6th 2021.
Thank you for your support and our very best wishes to you and your loved ones,
The Summer School Committee.
