Flower Club

We are a very friendly club and have some 90 members.  New members and visitors are warmly welcomed to our meetings, which begin at 2.15pm, usually with a demonstration, in the Colston Hall at the Memorial Centre on the third Wednesday of each month.  We also have a competition for members, divided into Novices, Intermediate and Advanced Plus sections, which is staged between 1.30 and 2pm and is judged by the Demonstrator prior to the start of the meeting.

We organise day schools to help members improve their skills and have outings to places of interest for lovers of flowers, usually in the summer months. We have several social events during the year. Some of our members have taken a City & Guilds course in flower arranging and have become active in Local and National Shows

The club is affiliated to the Berks, Bucks and Oxon area of NAFAS and members have been involved in fund-raising for local charities.

In addition, we operate a weekly rota for our members to arrange flowers in the outpatients department of the Gerrards Cross and Chalfont Hospital
