Adult Courses

The Gerrards Cross Community Association has a wide range of daytime and evening courses running on site for adults. We are an Adult Education Learning Centre and also have private tutors, summer courses and one off lectures covering a range of subjects from languages to needlework and almost everything in between.

Summer School

The Gerrards Cross Summer School runs for two weeks each summer and offers a variety of one day courses on subjects ranging from arts and crafts, history, literature, music and photography through to science and technology.

Courses are excellent value and very popular, and places are taken up quickly.

The Summer School is organised by a team of volunteers and has been taking place at the Memorial Centre during the last week of July and first week of August for over 30 years.

The  WEA (Workers’ Educational Association) is the UK’s largest voluntary provider of adult education. Ever since it was founded in 1903, to support the educational needs of working men and women, the WEA has maintained its commitment to provide access to education and learning for adults from all backgrounds, and in particular those who have previously missed out on education.
