The Probus Club was founded in 1962 as the Gerrards Cross Retired Men’s Club. It meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month in the Colston Hall, and provides opportunities for retired men to meet, to listen to good speakers and to socialise. There are 100 Members with an average attendance of around 55 at each session.
They gather at 10am for a coffee and a chat. Then at 10.30, there is a speaker on a wide variety of topic and the meeting finishes before 12 noon. Five outings a year are run to such interesting places as the BWM Car Plant at Oxford, Tangmere Aviation Museum and Loseley Park . There two very enjoyable lunches each year. Visitors are welcome.
