Gerrards Cross is a civil parish, one of 12 in South Bucks District. Gerrards Cross Town Council (GXTC) consists of 12 elected councillors, assisted by two part-time staff. Its major aim is to keep Gerrards Cross a pleasant place to live and, where possible, to improve its amenities. It manages the commons and ponds of Gerrards Cross and it also owns and manages The Camp (Bulstrode Camp), an early British Iron Age fort covering more than 10 hectares. Street lighting, other than on trunk roads, is maintained by GXTC. It also inspects footpaths and acts to prevent them from being overgrown by hedges or undergrowth.
FULL COUNCIL meetings of GXTC are held on the third Monday of each month, except for August. Members of the public are welcome to attend these and all committee meetings and to speak if they let the chairman know in advance. There is also an ANNUAL TOWN MEETING in April or May, specifically to give residents the opportunity to ask questions and make suggestions.
