Sue Stone, the wife of our Chairman, together with two helpers, recently approached GXCA with a proposal, which was approved by the Executive Committee, to prepare, cook and distribute frozen cooked meals from our Colston Hall kitchen.
The volunteers are all food hygiene qualified, and cook from time to time at St James Church, Gerrards Cross. The service is targeted towards individuals and or families that are either self-isolating, recovering from the virus or are experiencing severe financial difficulties.
The menu offers a choice of two soups and four main courses. Initially the aim is to service homes in Gerrards Cross and adjacent areas including Chalfont St Peter, Denham, Hedgeley and Stoke Podges.
