What to Expect at the 2025 Gerrards Cross Summer Fair at GXCA

Mark your calendars! The much-loved Gerrards Cross Summer Fair returns to GXCA on Sunday 31 August 2025, from 11am–4pm. Set in our beautiful grounds, this family-friendly event is packed with entertainment, competitions, and activities that bring the whole community together. With something for every age group, from bouncy castles to live music and a dog show, it’s the perfect way to end the summer holidays. 

A Fun-Filled Day Outdoors 

The fair takes place across our spacious green areas, with marquees and indoor spaces available if the British weather surprises us. Entry is just £1 per person (age 12+), with all proceeds supporting local community projects. Children under 12 enjoy free entry, making it an affordable day out for families. 

Entertainment for All Ages 

Visitors can look forward to: 

• Live music and youth theatre performances  

• A floral demonstration and a talk from the local fire brigade  

• The ever-popular Dog Show, with fun categories from “Coolest Trick” to “Glorious Golden Oldie”  

Our Children’s Zone will keep little ones busy with a bouncy castle, obstacle course, arts & crafts, face painting, and plenty of ice cream. Adults can enjoy food trucks, BBQs, an outdoor bar, rodeo bull rides, table tennis, crazy golf, and stalls from local clubs and societies. 

Creative Competitions 

The competitions are always a highlight, encouraging creativity across baking, horticulture, flowers, and art. Categories are open to adults and children, with fun challenges like “Best Animal Made Out of Vegetables” and “A Flower Arrangement themed around Over the Rainbow.” Entries should be delivered between 3pm on Saturday 30 August and 9:30am on Sunday 31 August, with judging at 11am sharp.

The Summer Fair isn’t just about fun, it’s about celebrating our community. From the picnic zone to the clubs’ displays, the event showcases the vibrant local spirit that GXCA has fostered since 1947. Whether you’re competing, performing, or simply enjoying the atmosphere, it’s a day designed for everyone to feel welcome and involved.
