BASIC FIRST AID - 29 JULY
Date: Tuesday 29th July
Tutor: Bruce Petty is qualified as an Emergency Medical Technician and holds teaching qualifications with experience in schools and FE. Bruce is the owner of Invenio Training and is passionate about First Aid. His experience includes nine years in the Army, six years with Home Office, six years mountain rescue and eleven years with the Ambulance Services.
Description: This day course will include how to manage life threatening emergencies and basic day to day first aid scenarios. We will cover the following areas: managing an unresponsive person, basic life support, serious bleeds, minor cuts & bruises, soft tissue injuries, head & spinal injuries, burns and medical emergencies. The training will be as practical as possible to allow you to practice the techniques taught. There will be time for questions and reflection on scenarios. All students will be issued an attendance certificate by Bruce as part of this day course, but should anyone require a certificate for work, they can order one directly through Bruce.
Level of course: Details to follow
Student requirements: Comfortable clothing suitable for activities, a yoga mat or beach towel to lie on for practical activities, £6 to order a certificate (optional).
