BRIDGE: PLANNING THE PLAY IN NT CONTRACTS - 4 AUGUST
Date: Monday, 4th August
Tutor: Tim Chanter has been a full-time bridge teacher for 10 years, working primarily with Richmond, Wimbledon and Roehampton Bridge Clubs. His teaching has been assessed by the English Bridge Union as outstanding, and he has achieved the rank of Grandmaster in his frequent tournament play. He has been part of the GX Summer School since 2018 and is looking forward to returning in 2025!
Description: The morning and afternoon sessions will cover the main aspects of declarer play in NT contracts including: counting winners and potential winners; assessing your level of control; thinking about the opposition and what you know about their hands from the bidding and play; coping with poor communication.
There will be two 'theory' sessions each followed by play on hands composed to illustrate the lesson material.
Written and video commentary on the boards will be sent out after the session.
