INTRODUCTION TO SILVER CLAY  6th August

Thursday 6th August

Tutor: Laura Sinclair is a metal clay artist and silversmith with over nine years’ experience in creating bespoke silver pieces. She holds a Jewellers Academy ‘Diploma in Silver Jewellery’ and an Art Clay World UK ‘Diploma Level 1’.
Silver clay is an amazing, versatile medium, made from fine particles of recycled silver, organic binder and water. It can be textured, cut and fired to produce silver jewellery.

Learn to make, fire, and polish simple fine silver charms using different textures and wear your jewellery home.
Every student will need to purchase materials on the day estimated at £30; silver chains and earwires will be available at extra cost. Every effort will be made to keep the materials cost as low as possible, but due to the rising cost of silver this may be higher by the time of the class.

Please note that the tool packs provided for use on the day must be returned for use in the next class.
It is advisable to wear an apron, closed toe shoes and to tie your hair back if long.
