Date: Wednesday, 30th July
Tutor: Kim Raymont (MA) is a printmaker, specialising in reduction linocut. She graduated from Cambridge School of Art with a Masters in Illustration and Book Arts and has taught creative printmaking workshops alongside building a print collection and undertaking commissions.
Description: You'll begin the day experimenting with printing beautiful unique and intricate prints from pressed leaves and flowers, learning how to use printmaking ink and rollers. After the break, we will explore the inspiring and exciting medium of linocut, carving and printing our own designs onto a set of cards and prints in a range of colours.
Following lunch, you may wish to carve and print a new design or extend your new skills in linocut and learn the reduction technique, carving and printing in more than one colour from the same piece of lino to create limited edition prints.
