Summer School
NEEDLE FELTING - 31 JULY
Date: Thursday, 31st July
Tutor: Rebecca is a local mixed media artist with a passion for inspiring students with a desire to be creative. She worked as an Art teacher in both the UK and USA for 13 years and now teaches Art workshops.
Description: We’ll begin the workshop with a gentle painting warm-up, using soft washes of blues and sandy neutrals to explore seascapes moods and colour palettes. This intuitive painting helps you loosen up, ready to start your felting.
Using soft wool fibres you’ll then create your own seascape—capturing the peaceful essence of ocean horizons, gentle waves, and coastal textures.
Leave feeling calm, refreshed and connected with a beautiful wool seascape to take home.
I have to warn you, this is addictive!!
Level of course: This workshop is suitable for beginners and/or people with experience.
N:B: As the technique is fairly repetitive, this is not suitable for people with back and/or neck issues.
Student requirements: Buttons, embroidery thread (optional), reference seascape image (optional). Please bring £14 payable directly to the tutor for materials. *Please be aware that the technique is fairly repetitive so may not be suitable for people with back/neck pain*
