SILVER CLAY JEWELLERY - 8 AUGUST

Date: Friday, 8th August

Tutor: Laura Sinclair is a metal clay artist and silversmith with over eight years’ experience in creating bespoke silver pieces. She holds a Jewellers Academy ‘Diploma in Silver Jewellery’ and an Art Clay World UK ‘Diploma Level 1’.

Description: Silver clay is an amazing, versatile medium, made from fine particles of recycled silver, organic binder and water. It can be textured, cut, then fired to produce solid silver jewellery. This course will teach you how to create a simple fine silver (999) charm using different textures (including real leaves). You will design, make, fire, and polish your pieces by the end of the course and can wear your jewellery home.

Every student will need to purchase materials (clay/jump rings) from Laura to use in class at a cost of £26; silver chains (approx. £10) and earwires (approx. £3) will also be available on the day at an extra cost. *The price of silver is subject to fluctuations and may increase*.

*Please note that the tool packs provided by Laura for use by students on the day must be returned at the end of the course for use in the next class and are not included in the course price*

Level of course: Details to follow

Student requirements: Students must wear closed toe shoes, have hair tied back and bring £26 to pay tutor directly for materials on the day. Please note that an apron is optional.
