Fabulous Wedding

We recently hosted our entire wedding at the Gerrards Cross Community Centre. It was a surprise wedding disguised as a birthday party so we had quite an unusual set up with the hall being set up for a party, then wedding ceremony and then back to a party. Julie helped us with the planning of the day and was meticulous in all the detail. She was so accommodating to our unusual set up and also helped us to plan for wet weather contingency for the day.

Communication was fantastic, a real must for anyone trying to plan a wedding, let alone a surprise one. We had to make several visits to the hall with small groups of helpers / suppliers and she helped us to fit that around the halls other users with no problem at all. The hall itself is a lovely venue to use with lovely subtle lighting; curtains that turn a hall into a beautiful space; ceiling lights (available to hire) which made the evening look magical; and amenities that made everyone comfortable.

We had the exclusive use of the bar area and the outside grounds with its lovely walled garden. We were also able to accommodate a street food truck for our catering. The venue has a great kitchen for commercial caterers to use too. There’s plenty of parking and its a short walk to the station so a great location for road users and guests travelling in from London.

Julie, my husband and I are so grateful to you and your team for your help and support to make our big day so special. Our day was all about celebrating our love for our friends, our families and for each other - and you helped us to knock it out of the park.

My wife and I chose Colston Hall for our wedding reception. The events manager, Julie Gilmour, is an absolute superstar, proving efficient and supportive throughout, and giving us the opportunity to do whatever we wanted with the venue.

Hi Julie,

Edith and I wanted to write and thank you and the team for hosting a fabulous wedding for us at Colston Hall. From the very first minute when we visited the hall through to collecting our items after the event you have been an absolute star. Edith and I are extremely grateful for the effort that was made in delivering such a beautiful occasion for us. The room was absolutely spectacular and genuinely took our breath away when we first saw it. All of our guests commented on how stunning it looked. We were blessed with great weather which allowed us to use the gardens for some hopefully beautiful photos that will remind us of the lovely day we had.

The quiet and unassuming way that you and your team worked with us on the day was exceptional and mirrored your passion in making it such a great day for us. Everything went smoothly and every single person that joined us had a fantastic time.

We cannot thank you enough and will recommend you to anyone that is looking for a venue.

A roaring success

"We can recommend Colston Hall for weddings or any other events. A grand White House set in lovely grounds. We found it to be very spacious. The main hall that the venue staff decorated beautifully for our daughters wedding ceremony.

The Garden room was set out with tables for our afternoon tea. A good size bar area and lovely outdoor area. We were even given a room to store all our decoration boxes and bits and pieces as well as a place to go if you need a quiet moment. As anxious parents wanting everything to be perfect for my daughter we had no need to have worried.

Julie had arranged for some volunteers to help with the setting up. The venue staff were polite and worked very hard and nothing was too much trouble. Julie was a star and was milling about for the duration of our event ensuring it went as smooth as possible.

We would like to thank Julie, the staff and volunteers for playing a major part in making our daughter's wedding day a roaring success."

Wow, what can I say...... We had the most amazing wedding day on Saturday at Colston Hall. Yourselves and all of your staff worked so very hard from Friday morning until the very end on Saturday evening. All of you helped us make it the fantastic day it was.

We have had so many compliments regarding Colston Hall and what a lovely venue it is and again how great & friendly the staff were. The young boys did you proud.

I would like to thank you so much for your help and support on Louise’s and Graham’s wedding day.

The venue was excellent. However this message is fortis, your staff and volunteers. You were very accommodating and worked tirelessly to ensure the day went smoothly for Louise and Graham. Your staff were hardworking, friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
